“It’s a big deal. Each milestone is a big step.”- Elton Brand

It was time to roll up our sleeves and dive in. We went through every goal, milestone, and requirements with a fine-tooth comb. Before moving forward I came up with the name for this group to add meaning to the work. I came up with Dream Chasers “We Care”.

We again reviewed our end goal first to stay on track. Our end goal was to create a virtual space/group providing motivation and encouragement quotes and videos members could access to feel uplifted. The space allows for engagement to occur between members for positive feedback and relatability, showing they are not alone. Each of the following goals and requirements/activities played an integral part in obtaining the end goal of creating a virtual space/group providing motivation and encouragement for all adults.

The first goal was to create a Facebook Group dedicated to providing encouragement and inspiration via posts. The requirement of signing up to Facebook to create a private Facebook group ensured this goal was met.

The next goal was start posting encouraging and motivational messages, the minimum one – two posts a week. The requirement of researching the internet for royalty-free encouraging meme’s and quotes played an integral role in meeting this goal.

The next goal was to market the upcoming formation of this Facebook Group to create some buzz so people would want to join. The requirement of reaching out to friends and family and spreading the word via personal social media handles ensured this goal was met.

The next goal was to open the Facebook group up to the public. The requirement of sending out invites using the Facebook Group functionality assisted with this goal.

The next goal was to test the waters and get member feedback a few weeks after rollout, The requirement of inviting 10% of the group to attend a feedback session helped to meet this goal.

The next goal was to implement suggestions from the focus group to enhance the motivation provided. The requirement of posting some motivational videos and nutrition tips into the mix helped meet this goal.

The final goal was to maintain consistency with posting with variety. Signing up with an auto posting carrier helped meet this goal by allowing batched posts to be uploaded and scheduled out for auto- future posting.

Putting the pieces together..

“Coming together is the beginning, Keeping together is progress, Working together is success.” - Henry Ford

We then put this all together in a timeline format to give us a visual and gauge where our progress was in relation to the timeline. It also showed us if any adjustments were needed in tasks or dates. Check it out…

The Timeline….

“A goal without a timeline is just a dream.”- Robert Herjavec
